A Lucid-based crop diagnostic tool for rice in SE Asia was one of the first to be developed, the result of a long-term research project involving the International Rice Research Institute, PhilRice in the Philippines, the Rice Research Institute in Indonesia and the University of Queensland and funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR). When the Lucid Mobile platform had been developed the Lucid key was converted to the app format in 2015.
Several updates and upgrades of this key have been produced, and a Tagalog version released for use by farmers and advisors in The Philippines.
